Churn Limit Background
The Ethereum beacon chain enforces a churn limit that controls how many validators can exit or consolidate per epoch. This limit exists to prevent rapid destabilization of the validator set. Proposed Increase
EIP-8061 proposes increasing the maximum churn limit to allow more validators to exit or consolidate per epoch. The exact new limit is a parameter under discussion, with the goal of reducing wait times for legitimate exit operations without compromising network stability.
